A peaceful oasis in the heart of Connecticut, Auerfarm is a working farm and educational center that connects people of all ages to the wonders of nature and agriculture.
Originally gifted to the Connecticut 4-H Development Fund by the Koopman and Schiro families in the 1970s, Auerfarm continues to serve as a valuable community resource for youth development. Just 2 miles from Hartford and near the West Hartford and Simsbury borders, Auerfarm brings together individuals from the surrounding region to participate in hands-on programs that promote self-growth and lifelong learning.
With trails, orchards, and animal pastures, the setting helps to provide a calming and therapeutic environment for emotional healing and growth.
Auerfarm welcomes school field trips, picnics, corporate events, weddings, and other community gatherings.
